How it started
I began persuing my dream more than 16 years ago when I studied to become a Dog Groomer. I have raised 7 German Shepherds, Eli, Iko, Justice, Godiva, Kiara, Tessa, and Zira. We have also added Gunner, Krueger, Kida, and Koda into our Shepherd family.

Pet Degree Dog Training Center is an all in one facility for Doggie Daycare, Dog training, Dog and Cat Grooming, and Pet Sitting services. We care for your pets as if they were our own.

In addition to the services we offer, we host BARKDay Parties. We also give back to the community & you can join us in supporting animal shelters, Cancer Society, Special Olympics, Girl Scouts, & Professional Pet Photographers.
Lynne Brouard-Loomis
Lynne is a certified professional dog trainer, behaviorist, AKC CGC & STAR Puppy Evaluator, a member of the Association for Pet Dog Trainers, a professional dog & cat groomer, and head trainer & owner of Pet Degree Dog Training Center. Her training certification is from The Connecticut K- 9 Education Center in Newington, where her focus was on learning behavior modification techniques that are dog-friendly ways to achieve desired behavior. She is a graduate of Becker College with a degree in Animal Care and Business Management. Lynne is a Trumbull mom of three young children who you will often see helping her with training around Pet Degree. Her home has never been complete without her dogs, previously having Monroe K9 Gunner and Riggs, and her two demo dogs Kiara and Kida. Currently complete with demo dogs Zira and Bowser. Her biggest passion is being able to give back to the community by training service and therapy dogs, she has achieved this through her many training programs. Lynne’s extensive knowledge and several years of experience makes Pet Degree a safe and positive place for all dogs and humans.
Andrew Rainish
Andrew has been training for 8 plus years, and has been with Pet Degree for 3. He assists with our Daycamp and Board and Trains, as well as private lessons. Andrew's several years of experience make him an important asset to our training team.
MJ Malachowski
MJ has worked at Pet Degree for over 10 years now. She started as a bather and reception and moved to grooming in the past 2 years. She is also a Veterinary Technician at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists. MJ’s extensive knowledge of and fondness for animals, and many years of experience at Pet Degree make her a valuable asset to our team.
Dorothy Lewis
Dorothy is one of Pet Degree’s main groomers. She has been grooming for 40 plus years, previously owning the pet store/grooming salon Chateau De Bow Wow. Dorothy greets every client with a welcoming smile and is eager to give the best experience she can.
Julia Cocchia
Julia has been working at Pet Degree for the past 4 years handling daycare and reception. She enjoys working with animals, especially her dog Luna and her nephew Bowser. Julia currently attends Sacred Heart University pursuing a career in radiography. She is one of our primary points of communication, so you may hear from her over the phone, over email, or through social media!
Lauren Mecca
Lauren has been working at Pet Degree for 3 years, starting off with bathing and moving to handling daycare and reception. She currently goes to the University of Bridgeport, where she will work towards her desired career as a sports analyst. Lauren loves dogs, having two of her own at home - Sadie (German Shepherd), and Max (Labradoodle).
Alix Agathos
Alix has been working at Pet Degree for over 4 years now. Alix is currently enrolled at the University of Bridgeport as a nursing major in hopes to become a Neonatal Nurse. You'll often find her stopping by and helping out with social media!
Addie Levy
Addie has been working at Pet Degree for over a year now handling daycare and reception. Addie is currently enrolled at Sacred Heart University majoring in Psychology.
